Conkers, Aldridge 10k, Breedon Hill run

Conkers Parkrun witnessed some more great performances from Ivanhoe Runners. First timer Ivor Davies set the pace with an excellent third place in 18.56, ahead of Michael Sharpe 7th in 20.16. Andy Lindley set yet another personal best with a time of 21.31 in 14th, ahead of another first timer, Ruth Enion who was 31st in 23.38. Karen Edwards set herself a new personal best time as she clocked 26.55, and the Ivanhoe field was completed with Mary Gough 82nd in 31.13 and Brian Gough 86th in 32.25.
Further south in the Hampstead Heath Parkrun, Joe Sanders set his personal best for that course ith 21.53 in 21st place. Judith Webster-Sanders was 63rd in 26.45 - her personal best for that course, while Amy Sanders and Kevin Sanders were 84th and 85th respectively with 29.35 and 29.36.
In the Aldridge 10k, Kev Wright set another personal best for the distance with a time of 39.43, his second time under 40 minutes, in 41st place. Karl Savill ran 53.13 in 213th place.
Saturday saw the Breedon on the Hill 6.5k race, which starting at the quarry, takes in the notorious Breedon Hill itself before picking up the Cloud trail and heading back towards the school. Ivanhoe's Mark Morgan was a fine third, in 24.48, ahead of Ian Bolton in 9th in 27.38. Sean Wileman made a return to racing in 21st place clocking 31.20, just ahead of Ivanhoe Runners first lady, Amanda Bradbury. Amanda was 23rd in 32.04, and was 6th lady overall and 2nd V40 home. Richard Morgan was next home, 28th in 34.25, followed by Teresa Talbott, 36th in 35.02 who was 9th lady overall and first v35 home.
