Race Reports

A small Ivanhoe contingent took part in the Washlands relays, run over a Lawns Fram route due to the waterlogged normal venue. With just four runners, Ivanhoe fielded a mixed team which did well to finish 6th team overall and first mixed team - a great achievement.

They were led off by Richard Martin who clocked 11.58 for the approximately two mile course, which placed the team 7th at that point. He handed over to Laura Johnson who ran a fine 12.11 to keep the team 11th. Laura was also rewarded with being the fastest femlae on the night.  Alistair Chambers then picked up a place as he ran 11.27 - the fastest Ivanhoe Runners time - before handing on to Nick Teague who ran 11.57 to keep the squad in 6th place to clinch the first mixed team place by nearly a minute over Peel Raod Runners.

Both Alistair Chambers and Richard Martin were  in action again on the Sunday as they ran the Trentham 10, along with team-mates Matt Morgan and Ivor Davies. Matt was first home in a brilliant 8th overall in 62.38, ahead of Ivor Davies 16th in 64.23. Alistair Chambers then came home 29th in 66.36, with Richard Martin 33rd in 67.10.
